What we collect, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 26 July 2026.

What we collect

If you never sign in, we collect nothing that identifies you. The articles, the benchmark and the open data files are served to anyone, and reading them creates no account and no profile.

When you sign in we store the email address and display name your sign-in provider gives us, and the first name and surname you enter. That record is your Reformeer profile: the same profile used across Reformeer, because this site is part of it.

When you use the AI we store your conversations so they are there when you come back, along with a count of messages sent for usage limits. Anything you choose to save as a memory is stored with your profile until you delete it.

Who processes it

Google Firebase Authentication handles sign-in. Google Cloud (South Africa and Europe) hosts the database. Vercel serves the site. Google Vertex AI, reached through the Vercel AI Gateway on our own account, runs the models that answer your questions; your conversations are not used to train them.

Paystack processes subscription payments. Card details are entered on Paystack's own checkout and never reach us: we store only the fact that a subscription is active.

We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising network is loaded.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in. Two small preference cookies remember your language and light or dark theme. Analytics sets its own cookies, which your browser can block without breaking the site.

Your choices

You can edit your name from the account menu, and you can ask for your account and everything attached to it to be deleted. Deletion removes your profile, your conversations and your saved memories.

Requests are handled by a person, not a form, and the address is below.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
